Respond to polls in e-mail messages

This feature requires you to use a Microsoft Exchange Server 2000, Exchange Server 2003, or Exchange Server 2007 account. Most home and personal accounts do not use Microsoft Exchange.

When you receive an e-mail message that contains voting buttons, you can quickly respond to the sender's question. Microsoft Outlook can also automatically tabulate the results of the vote for the sender. Do one of the following:

  • In the Reading Pane, click the InfoBar, and then click your choice to vote.

  • Open the message, and on the Message tab, in the Respond group, click Vote, and then click your choice to vote.

You will be prompted to choose whether you want to include a message with your vote before you send it.
