Reinstall, remove, or add a new component to Microsoft Office Accounting

Use the Microsoft Office Accounting 2009 Setup Wizard to reinstall or remove Office Accounting 2009, or and earlier version of Microsoft Office Accounting, or to add Microsoft Office Outlook with Business Contact Manager.

Note: If you installed Accounting 2009 from Office Online, the option to add Business Contact Manager for Outlook is not available in the wizard. For more information about the benefits of adding this Microsoft Office component, see Integrate with Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

To remove programs, you must belong to the Windows Administrator group on your computer.

  1. Quit all programs.

  2. On the Start menu, click Control Panel.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • In Windows Vista, in Control Panel, double-click Programs and Features.

    • In Windows XP, in Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.

  4. Select Microsoft Office Accounting 2009.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • In Windows Vista, click Uninstall/Change.

    • In Windows XP, click Change/Remove.

  6. Select one of the following options:

    • Add to install Business Contact Manager for Outlook (if available).

    • Reinstall to reinstall or repair Accounting 2009.

    • Remove to uninstall Accounting 2009. The wizard uninstalls Accounting 2009, sample files, and the database engine. The wizard does not delete your company files.
