Redirect a message to the correct person

Redirecting a message is useful when you're not the intended recipient and you know who is. When you redirect a message, the original sender, subject line, and contents of the message remains intact and replies go to the original sender instead of you.

Note: It is not currently possible to redirect a message if you are using a Microsoft Exchange account.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Mail, and then click Inbox.

  2. Select the message that you want to redirect to another recipient.

  3. On the Message menu, click Redirect.

    A new message window opens.

  4. In the To box, enter the new recipient, and then click Send.
