In an Access database, you can rearrange the order of columns in a table in Datasheet view or in Design view. You can move a single column or a contiguous group of columns.

  1. Select the column that you want to move. To select more than one column, drag the pointer until you have selected the columns that you want.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • In Datasheet view, drag the selected columns horizontally to the position that you want.

    • In Design view, drag the selected columns vertically to the position that you want.
