Monitoring Server Properties: Mediation Servers

Use the Mediation Servers tab to specify which Mediation Servers will be monitored by the Monitoring Server and to specify the threshold settings. If you are not using the Monitoring Server Management Pack for near real-time monitoring of media quality and performance counters are not being monitored, you do not need to make any configuration changes on this tab.

Note: These settings do not have any effect on the collection or storage of metrics reports, only the monitoring and alerting policy for Mediation Servers.

Mediation Servers

Specify if a Mediation Server is enabled for monitoring by the Monitoring Server Management Pack. To enable monitoring for a Mediation Server, select the check box next to the name of the Mediation Server. To disable monitoring for a Mediation Server, clear the check box. Each Mediation Server will be displayed on this page after the first time it sends a metrics report to Monitoring Server.

Threshold Settings

To specify the threshold settings that are used to control alerting for the enabled Mediation Servers, click the Thresholds button. You can edit the threshold settings for each counter. All Mediation Servers share the same alerting thresholds.
