Monitoring Server

In Office Communications Server 2007 R2, you have the following options when you right-click a Monitoring Server in the console tree view:

  • Start. Starts the Monitoring Server services.

  • Stop. Stops the Monitoring Server services.

  • Logging Tool. Invokes a debugging session.

  • Deactivate Monitoring Server. Starts the Deactivation Wizard to deactivate the Monitoring Server.

  • Properties. Opens the property pages for the server.

In the details pane, you can do the following:

  • Use the Status tab to view the status of the server configuration, as well as monitoring status.

  • Use the Event Log tab to configure event log filtering and to view event records.

  • Use the Performance tab to view the performance of the server.

In Available Tasks in the action pane, you can do the following:

  • Click Deactivate Monitoring Server to deactivate a server by using the Deactivation Wizard.
