Map a KPI to a data source

A KPI in PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer can use multidimensional data from SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, from an Office Excel 2007 spreadsheet, or from a SQL table. To map a KPI to a data source, use the Actual and Targets pane in the Editor tab of the KPI workspace.

Note: Data source mappings are one of several KPI configuration options that are available in the Editor tab and Properties tab in the KPI workspace. To learn more about all KPI configuration options, see the KPI configuration overview. For more information about data sources, see Create a data source in Dashboard Designer.
