Manage Web application features

You can make specific functionality available to Web applications by using features.

  1. On the Application Management page, in the SharePoint Web Application Management section, click Manage Web application features.

  2. If the Web application for which you want to manage features is not selected, on the Manage Web Application Features page, click Change Web Application on the Web Application menu.

    • On the Select Web Application page, click the Web application for which you want to manage features.

  3. To activate a feature for the Web application, click Activate in the Status column for the feature.

  4. To deactivate a feature for the Web application, click Deactivate in the Status column for the feature.

    • On the Warning page, click Deactivate this feature.
