Edit Thresholds

Use the Edit Thresholds dialog box to edit the warning level, error level, and minimum call volume for a specific performance counter.

  • Warning Level Monitoring Server Management Pack fires an alert when the threshold for a performance counter is exceeded by a specified percentage of calls. For example, if the specified percentage of calls are dropped because of a media connectivity failure, a warning level alert is fired.

  • Error Level Monitoring Server Management Pack fires an alert when the threshold for a performance counter is exceeded by a specified percentage of calls. The percentage that is specified for an error level alert must be higher than that specified for a warning level alert.

  • Minimum Call Volume The number of calls that must take place before Monitoring Server Management Pack fires a warning level or error level alert. For example, when the call volume reaches 30 and at least 14% of calls (the default threshold) have failed media connectivity, a warning level alert is raised.
