Earlier versions of Office cannot access FileMaker Pro .fp7 database files

Cause: FileMaker Pro .fp7 database files cannot be used by a Windows-based version of Microsoft Office and earlier versions of Microsoft Office for Mac.

Solution:    Use FileMaker Pro to export the data to a compatible format.

You can use FileMaker Pro version 7.0 or later to export the data in a .fp7 database file to a format that can be used by a Window-based version of Office and earlier versions of Office for Mac, such as Tab Delimited Text (.txt), Comma Separated Values (.csv), or Excel 97-2004 Workbook format.
