Default colors

  • Font color    Sets or changes the default font color.

  • Background color    Sets or changes the default background color for datasheets and query result sets.

  • Alternate background color    Sets or changes the alternate background color — the color that shades every other row in a datasheet. Select a color when you want to shade every other row in a datasheet.

  • Gridlines color    Sets the default color for gridlines.

Gridlines and cell effects

  • Default gridlines showing

    • Horizontal    Shows or hides horizontal gridlines by default.

    • Vertical    Shows or hides vertical gridlines by default.

  • Default cell effect

    • Flat    Enables or disables the flat effect for cells in datasheets and query result sets.

    • Raised    Enables or disables the raised effect for cells in datasheets and query result sets.

    • Sunken    Enables or disables the sunken effect for cells in datasheets and query result sets.

  • Default column width    Sets or changes the default width of columns in datasheets and query result sets. Type a measurement in inches or centimeters, depending on the system of measurement specified in your Windows settings.

Default font

  • Font    Sets or changes the default font for text that appears in datasheets and query result sets.

  • Size    Sets the default text size for all new datasheets and query result sets.

  • Weight    Sets or changes the default font weight (semi-bold, bold, and so on) for text in datasheets and query result sets.

  • Underline    Enables or disables underlining for the text in new datasheets and query result sets.

  • Italic    Enables or disables italics for text in datasheets and query result sets.

    Note: As a rule, italicized text is harder to read on a computer screen.
