Create a PivotTable

Although you currently won’t be able to create a PivotTable for your data in Excel Online, you can open a workbook with a PivotTable that was created in the Excel desktop application. You can then view the PivotTable data, use the PivotTable Field List to change and pivot that data, and apply sorting and filtering to show the exact data you want to analyze.

If you have the Excel desktop application, you can use the Open in Excel button to open your workbook to create a PivotTable for your worksheet data, external data, or data in multiple tables there. Here’s how:
