Business Contact Manager for Outlook E-mail Marketing Service: Set Up E-Mail Tracking

Important: Service Closure Notice Microsoft will discontinue the E-mail Marketing Service effective May 1, 2009, but you can continue to use the service until May 1, 2009.

You can use the E-Mail Marketing Service to track user responses to your e-mail messages, so you can measure the effectiveness of your Marketing Campaign. The E-Mail Marketing Service provides a report of how many times the messages were bounced, how many times your messages were read, and how many of your links were clicked.

Account Settings     Type the name of the company and the e-mail address from which you are sending the message, and type the e-mail address where you want to receive responses and reports.

E-mail Subject     Before your message can be sent, it must have a subject. Use the name of your Marketing Campaign, which is entered by default, or create an engaging subject that will attract your recipients' interest.

Note: This is part of the process of creating a distribution list in the E-Mail Marketing Service for your Marketing Campaign, and then tracking the results. Just select E-Mail Marketing Service as the distribution method on your Marketing Campaign form. To create a Marketing Campaign, on the Business Contact Manager menu, click Marketing Campaign, and then click New.
