Assign a dial-in or PSTN conferencing license

With dial-in conferencing, meeting attendees can call into Skype for Business Online meetings using a phone instead of their computer. To set up dial-in conferencing, you need to assign Skype for Business PSTN Conferencing licenses to the people in your organization who schedule or lead Skype for Business meetings. A PSTN license is also called a dial-in conferencing license.

How to assign a dial-in or PSTN conferencing license

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your work or school account.

  2. In the Office 365 admin center, choose Users > Active users > and then select from the list of people in your organization.

    Note: If you are assigning licenses to up to 20 people at the same time, you can use the Select a view drop-down then choose one of the options or create your own view. Then click Edit, Next twice then select the license and click Submit.

  3. In the Action pane under Assigned license, click Edit.

  4. On the Product licenses page, toggle Skype for Business PSTN Conferencing to On.

  5. Click Save.

  6. After you assign PSTN conferencing licenses, you need to assign a dial-in conferencing provider. Do one of the following:

    Caution: If someone is already set up to use a third-party dial-in conferencing provider, when you assign them a Skype for Business PSTN Conferencing license, they will be changed to use Microsoft as the dial-in conferencing provider. You can change them back to the third-party provider.
