Do any of the following:
Adjust line break control settings for Chinese text

Put the cursor in the paragraph where you want to apply a line break control.

On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Chinese Typography tab.

Under Line Break, select the Use Asian rules for controlling first and last characters check box.
Tip: To change the characters that cannot start or end a line, under Character Spacing, click Options, and then under First and last characters, click Standard, Strict, or Custom. Then, enter the characters in either the Cannot start line or Cannot end line box.

Put the cursor in the paragraph where you want to apply a line break control.

On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Japanese Typography tab.

Under Line Break, select the Use Asian rules for controlling first and last characters check box.
