Add a picture to a photo album

You can create a PowerPoint photo album to display your personal or business photographs. And if you have an existing photo album, you can add more photographs to update it.

  1. On the Insert tab, in the Images group, click the arrow under Photo Album, and then do one of the following:

    • To add a picture to a new photo album, click New Photo Album.

    • To add a picture to an existing photo album, click Edit Photo Album.

      Tip:  To see Edit Photo Album on the menu, you must first open a presentation that contains a photo album.

  2. In the Photo Album dialog box, under Insert picture from, click File/Disk.

  3. In the Insert New Pictures dialog box, locate and click the picture that you want to add, and then click Insert.

    Notes: 

    • To preview a picture file in your photo album, in the Photo Album dialog box, in the Pictures in album list, select a picture name, and then view the picture in the Preview window.

    • To change the order in which the pictures are displayed, in the Photo Album dialog box, in the Pictures in album list, select a picture name, and then click the arrow buttons to move it up or down in the list.

  4. In the Photo Album dialog box, do one of the following:

    • To add a picture to a new photo album, click Create.

    • To add a picture to an existing photo album, click Update.
