About the Site Summary workspace in Planning Business Modeler

The PerformancePoint Planning Business ModelerSite Summary workspace serves as a general summary for a model site and displays information about the models in the site. To view the Site Summary workspace, click Site Summary in the Workspace Browser pane. By default, the Site Summary workspace is displayed when you open a model site. In the Site Summary workspace, you can view information about models, dimensions, forms and reports, process management, security and roles, associations, and application management.

The Site Summary workspace includes the following sections.

Connection

Displays a summary of your connection information that includes the location of the PerformancePoint Planning Server server to which you are connected and the application and model site that you are viewing.

Models

Displays a summary of information about the models in the model site.

Dimensions

Displays a summary of information about all available dimensions in a model site. For more information, see the topic About the Dimension Summary page.

Forms and Reports

Displays a summary of information about the available forms and reports. For more information, see the topic About the Forms and Reports workspace.

Process Management

Displays a summary of information about jobs, cycles, and assignments. For more information, see the topic About the Process Management workspace.

Security and Roles

Displays information about users and roles. For more information, see the topic About the Security and Roles workspace.

Associations

Displays information about the associations created in this model site. For more information, see the topic About the Associations workspace.

Create an Application

Click this link to open the Create Application dialog box and to create a new application. In Planning Business Modeler, applications can be created or deleted by a user who is assigned to the Global Administrator role. To avoid potential database errors in multiple-server environments, we recommend that you use PerformancePoint Planning Administration Console to perform all Global Administrator tasks.

Create a Model Subsite

Click this link to open the Create Model Subsite dialog box and to create a new model subsite. In Planning Business Modeler, applications can be created or deleted by a user who is assigned to the Global Administrator role. To avoid potential database errors in multiple-server environments, we recommend that you use Planning Administration Console to perform all Global Administrator tasks.

Delete Application

Click this link to delete an application. When you delete an application, it is permanently deleted from the server that hosts it. In Planning Business Modeler, an application can be deleted by a user who is assigned to the Global Administrator role. To avoid potential database errors in multiple-server environments, we recommend that you use Planning Administration Console to perform all Global Administrator tasks.

Delete Model Subsite

Click this link to delete a model subsite. When you delete a model subsite, it is permanently deleted from the server that hosts it. In Planning Business Modeler, model subsites can be deleted by a user who is assigned to the Global Administrator role. To avoid potential database errors in multiple-server environments, we recommend that you use Planning Administration Console to perform all Global Administrator tasks.

Save Model Site

Click this link to save any changes that you make to your model site to the Planning Server database.

Deploy Model Site

After you click this link, the progress of the model site deployment is displayed on the status bar at the bottom of Planning Business Modeler. Also, the Messages dialog box opens and displays information and errors related to this action.

Close Model Site

Click this link to close the model site and application and to disconnect from the Planning Server system.
