100GB OneDrive bonus with Samsung devices

100GB OneDrive bonus with Samsung devices

New Samsung devices purchased before 25 July 2019 came with OneDrive pre-installed and gave the owner an extra 100GB of OneDrive storage for 1 year (2 years if you signed up before 1 April 2019).

If you purchased your Samsung device before 25 July 2019, here are some steps to help you meet all the criteria.

  1. Check that OneDrive is pre-installed on your device.

    Notes:

    • Please note that not all mobile carriers pre-install OneDrive.

    • Installing the OneDrive app later does not qualify for the bonus.

  2. Download, install, and sign in to an Office mobile app (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) using your Microsoft account.

  3. You must activate Camera Roll backup using the same Microsoft account.

    1. In the OneDrive app, tap the Me icon Person icon in OneDrive app for iOS at the bottom of the app, then tap Settings OneDrive settings .

    2. Tap Camera upload.

    3. Set Camera upload to On.

  4. Redeem the offer in the OneDrive app.

    Notes:

    • Each Microsoft account holder can only redeem a 100GB Bonus once.

    • Promotional storage, much like a subscription, cannot be moved from one account to another.

    • If the storage does not appear within 72 hours, please open the OneDrive app and shake the device to contact support.

    • From 25 July 2019, Samsung will no longer be providing new customers with the 100GB offer on Samsung devices where the OneDrive app is pre-installed.
