You can add hyperlinks to a message to make it easier for recipients to open websites or network paths.

By default, just type the full web address, starting with http://

When you press the Spacebar, or Enter, the text automatically formats as a hyperlink.

To test it, press the Ctrl key and click the link. Your browser opens the web address.

When recipients open the message, they follow the link by just clicking the text. They don't have to press the Ctrl key.

The other way to add a hyperlink is to format some text manually.

Use this method if you have a long, complicated URL, like the one shown here, and want to keep the look of your message body clean.

Select the text you want to add the hyperlink to. Make sure to select just the text.

Right-click the selection. Then, click Hyperlink.

Type or Paste the URL in Address and click OK. The link is added.

Now what if you type a URL, but you don't want it formatted as a hyperlink? You can remove the formatting.

Right-click the formatted text and click Remove Hyperlink.
