OneNote for Android

Your browser does not support video. Install Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flash Player, or Internet Explorer 9.

With OneNote on your Android phone or tablet, your notes can go wherever you go.

Get the OneNote app

  1. Tap Play Store.

  2. Search for Microsoft OneNote.

  3. Tap Install. The app appears on your home screen when it’s done installing.

Open the OneNote app for the first time

  1. Tap OneNote.

  2. Tap Sign In and type your work or school email, and then tap Next.

  3. Enter your password, and then tap Sign in.

Open a different notebook

  • Tap More Notebooks, or tap + Notebook to create a new one.

Start taking notes

  1. Select an existing section and page.

  2. Tap anywhere on the page to type a note or draw one.

Office 365 plans that include OneNote for Android

With OneNote on your Android phone or tablet, your notes can go wherever you go.

To get the OneNote app, tap Play Store and search for Microsoft OneNote.

Tap Install to install the app.

The app appears on your home screen when it’s done installing.

Tap OneNote to open the app and if you already have a Microsoft account, tap Sign In.

Type in your work or school email, and then tap Next.

Enter your password and then tap Sign in.

You'll see your notebooks along the left side.

But if you’d like to open a different notebook, tap More Notebooks or tap + Notebook to create a new one.

To start taking notes, select an existing section and page, or create new ones.

Then tap anywhere on the page to type a note or even draw one.
