Select Add channel.
Enter a name and short description for your channel.
Getting your team up and running on Microsoft Teams is easy.
To start, click Add team, then click Create a team, give your team a name, and add a short description if you like. You can choose to make your team public or private. Public teams are open to everyone in your organization. Private teams, on the other hand, are invite only.
Add people individually or by distribution lists. This saves you the trouble of adding people one by one.
Your team will start off with one channel called General. Use it for whatever you like.
If you click here, you can perform lightweight tasks like adding channels or members to the team. For more in-depth team management tools and team owner settings, click View Team.
Here you will see a list of all team members. This is where you can add or remove members and manage team ownership. Owners have additional privileges like membership management and editing team settings.
In the Channels tab, you can see additional information about the team’s channels. Some teams create channels by topic, department, or project, others are just for fun. Every team is different so structure your team in the way that works best for you.
Click Add channel, give your channel a name, describe it if you want, and click Add. You can add, remove, or edit channels at any time.
From the Settings tab you can customize your team picture, edit member permissions, and turn certain features on or off.
Now you know how to get started. Let the collaboration begin!
