
When you create an Office file, you can add properties to help you search, sort, and filter files in File Explorer.
Add a property

Select File > Info.

Select a property that starts with Add, like Add a title, Add a tag, or Add an author.

Enter the information.

To see more properties, select Show all properties.

When you're done, select the Back arrow and Save
your changes.

Some properties, like Size, Pages, Words, and dates are updated automatically and can't be changed.
However, there are properties that you can Add.
For example, Add a tag to categorize a file.
Or Add an author. You can add as many authors as you need.
To see more, select Show All Properties.
