Using Office Lens to adjust images in OneDrive

Office Lens is a great way to capture notes and info from whiteboards, menus, signs, handwritten memos, or anything with a lot of text. You don’t need to jot down notes, rely on blurry images or worry about misplacing anything. It’s great for capturing sketches, drawings and equations too, and even images without text.

Office Lens also gets rid of shadows and odd angles, so images are easier to read.

How to apply Office Lens correction to an image in OneDrive

  1. Open your Photos in OneDrive.com.

  2. Click to open the image you would like to adjust or clean up.

Note: You can only open one image at a time.

  3. On the top menu, select Office Lens.

  4. If you prefer the original image, simply select Revert to original.

How to undo automatic image correction in OneDrive

When reviewing your PC's camera roll folder or photos in OneDrive, some images may appear to have been cropped or altered. This is because the Office Lens feature has detected the image to be from a whiteboard, menu or anything else with a lot of text and automatically made a more readable copy.

The original image is still safe and available, but you need to go to OneDrive.com to view it.

  1. Open your Photos in OneDrive.com.

  2. Click to open the image which has been cropped or altered.

Note: You can only open one image at a time.

  3. On the top menu, select View original.

  4. If you prefer the original image, select Revert to original.
