Turn off T-Bot in Teams

There's currently no way to turn off T-Bot entirely, but there are a few things you can do to get it out of your way:

  • Disable tips and tricks. Find T-Bot in your chat list and click More options More options button > Disable tips and tricks. You won't receive any more unprompted advice from T-Bot.

  • Mute. Find T-Bot in your chat list and click More options More options button > Mute. You'll stop getting notifications about messages from T-Bot.

  • Unfavorite. If you ever favorited T-Bot, find it in your chat list and click More options More options button > Unfavorite. It will no longer appear at the top of your chat list.

You can reverse any of these actions from the same menu.

  • Block bot conversation. Select your chat with T-Bot from your chat list. Tap the name of the chat at the top of the screen (in this case, T-Bot), then tap Block bot conversation. You won’t receive any more unprompted T-Bot messages.

  • Mute. Swipe left on your chat with T-Bot and tap Mute. You’ll still receive messages from T-Bot, but you won't get notifications about them.

  • Mute. Find your chat with T-Bot in your chat list. Press and hold the chat and tap Mute. You’ll no longer get notifications about T-Bot messages. If you change your mind, press and hold again and tap Unmute.
