It can be annoying if security alerts appear when you open your presentation or click certain content in your presentation. These alerts, from the Microsoft PowerPoint Trust Center, usually mean that your presentation contains content that might not be secure (for example, an executable file or a macro).
Make it so the audience doesn’t see security alerts
Use Presenter view in PowerPoint to keep security alerts from appearing where your audience can see them. Check that the computer that is running the PowerPoint presentation is connected to another monitor that the audience can see.
On the Slide Show tab, in the Monitors group, select the Use Presenter View check box.
In the Monitors list, select the monitor that you want the audience to watch. Primary Monitor refers to the computer on which you’re running the PowerPoint presentation, and other connected monitors
Note: You might have to set display and monitor settings. In Windows Control Panel, use the Display Settings dialog box. Click the monitor icon for the monitor the audience will view, select the Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor check box, and then click OK.
On the Slide Show tab, in the Start Slide Show group, click From Beginning or From Current Slide.
Prevent security alerts before your presentation
Stop the PowerPoint Trust Center from interrupting your presentation by moving your file beforehand to a trusted location on the computer. To find or set up a trusted location, do the following:
In PowerPoint, click the File tab, then click Options.
In the PowerPoint Options dialog box, click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings.
In the Trust Center dialog box, click Trusted Locations. The list under Trusted Locations includes folders that are already set up as trusted locations.
If the list does not include the location that you want, click Add new location and browse to find the folder that you want, then click OK.
