Resolve the error “Your document is no longer visible to others”

A document published on no longer appears on your profile page, is no longer visible to others, and you may see the following error message:

“Your document is no longer visible to others. Our system flagged it as possibly containing sensitive information. To make it available to others, you can download it, review the content, and re-upload it.”

Background is flagging content that may contain sensitive or private data — such as personal or legal information.


Please follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. If necessary, sign into

  2. Navigate to your document, and then click Edit details in the Details pane.

  3. On the Edit details screen, select Allow others to download your document.

  4. Click the Save button.

  5. In the upper right corner of your browser window, click the ... menu button, and then click Download on the menu that appears.

  6. Carefully review the downloaded document to make sure that it doesn’t include any sensitive or private information that shouldn’t be shared publicly.

  7. Re-publish the document after you have reviewed it by doing the following:

    • Click Edit details in the Details pane of your document.

    • On the Edit details screen, click Re-upload, and then select the reviewed document.
