Open a WordPerfect document in Word

You can use Word to open a document that was created in WordPerfect 5.x or 6.x.

Important: If you make changes to the document, you cannot save it as a WordPerfect document.

  1. Click File on the ribbon or Menu, and then click Open. You may have to click browse first to get the Open dialog.

  2. In the Open dialog box, select WordPerfect 5.x or WordPerfect 6.x.

  3. Click the file, and then click Open.
