If the users in your organization use Microsoft Edge browser and have an Office 365 Enterprise or small business license, they can use Edge's default home page and tabs as a personal landing page. The Office 365 tab in Edge gives users easy access to their most-recently used SharePoint Office files and SharePoint sites, and quick links to the top Office Online apps.
Note: For more information about how your people can use the Office 365 tab in Edge to work and collaborate with others, see The 'Office 365' tab in Edge.
How can get the 'Office 365' tab for my organization?
We're currently rolling out the 'Office 365' tab to all Office 365 organizations over the next couple of months. When the 'Office 365' tab is available to your organization, you won't need to do anything. It will be on by default for the people in your organization who use Edge browser and have a work or school license for Office 365. You may be able to get this tab sooner if you turn on Targeted release to see new features earlier. Set up release options in the Office 365 admin center.
Can my people turn off the 'Office 365' tab?
Yes. They can turn it off in Edge by changing the Open new tabs with setting to A blank page or Top Sites. For more information, see The 'Office 365' tab in Edge.
Can I turn this off for my entire organization?
There aren't any settings in the Office 365 admin center for you to control this feature. However, if your organization doesn't want to use the Office 365 tab from within Edge, you can turn it off for your entire organization by editing the Allow web content on New Tab page policy for Edge. For more information, see Available policies for Microsoft Edge.
