Kaizala Actions

Kaizala Action is a 'unit of work' that helps users get work done within a conversation context inside Kaizala. Some of these Actions like Job, Survey and Poll are shipped out-of-the-box, and provide scoped functionality. Once you publish the Actions, users can find them in the Kaizala app, and then they be used in a conversation context from the Action Palette.

You can design a custom Kaizala Action through the Action Designer interface within Kaizala management portal by building on the out-of-box Survey Action.

Create Kaizala Action

  1. To create a new Kaizala Action, navigate to Actions on the left navigation bar and click New Action on the top right of the page.

  2. Select any one of the following:

  3. Fill out the information on the page, and click or tap Next.


    What it's for

    Action Name

    This will be the name of the survey or poll that users see in their Kaizala mobile app.

    Brief description

    Use CSV files to create and manage multiple groups and users.

    Customize icon

    Choose the icon for your Kaizala Action.

  4. For a selected template, enter relevant details.

    1. For Survey & Form Actions:

      1. Enter question details and choose Answer types. You can add more questions by clicking on 'Add More Question'. You can even choose to add questions on a new page.

      2. After you are done with entering question details. Click or tap on Next.

      3. On the next page, Tap on check boxes to select, if you would want users to find:

        1. Action introduction page (where users would find details about the Action)

        2. Summary page (where users can review their submissions before submitting their response

    2. For Feedback & Announcement Actions, do relevant customizations on Response View, Immersive View and Chat view.

  5. Once you are done, click Submit. Users will now be able to see the new Action in Discover in their Kaizala mobile app.

Publish or unpublish a Kaizala Action to a group

You can publish a Kaizala Action to one or more groups. When you publish a Kaizala Action to a group, all the group members will see the action in the Discover tab in the Kaizala phone app. The action only appears to users who are members of the group you selected.

To publish a Kaizala Action to a group:

  1. Select the selected group from the Groups page.

  2. Navigate to Action tab. Click or tap Add Action.

  3. Select the Action that you want to publish. Choose the user roles, for which you would like the Action to be published for.

  4. Click or tap Publish.

To unpublish a Kaizala Action from a group:

  1. Select the group from the Groups page, from which you want Action to be unpublished for.

  2. Navigate to Action Tab. Find the Action that you want to remove

  3. Click or tap on (...). Click Remove.

Activate or deactivate a Kaizala Action

Once you deactivate a Kaizala Action, the Action won't be available for publishing to any new groups. The action will continue to work for existing groups. An action may be removed from a group without re-activating it, however, once you remove an action, it can't be published to the removed group, unless you activate the action again.

Remove Kaizala Action

You can remove a Kaizala Action from the Actions list by selecting Remove. Removing an Action will unpublish the Action from all the groups to which it was published to before.
