Office for Windows desktop apps
Not an Insider yet?
If you're not yet an Office Insider and want to become one, great!
Are you using a personal copy of Office 365? For example, Office 365 Home, Office 365 Personal, or Office 365 University? If so, you can join in one of two ways:
Go to the Office Insider site and click the Windows Desktop link and then install an Insider build.
If you have Office installed already, click File > Account > Office Insider in any app to sign up.
The OneNote for Windows 10 app (simply called "OneNote") contains innovative new features that you won’t find in the older desktop version. To preview these features, become a Windows Insider and you'll get Insider updates for OneNote, too.
Are you using Office 365 in a work or school environment? If so, your Office 365 admin or IT department typically controls whether or not you can get Insider updates. If you are the admin, or if you're an end user with admin rights to your own machine, follow the second procedure in How Office 365 commercial customers can get early access to new features to install Insider builds.
