Delete a conversation thread in your class team

As team owners of a class, teachers can delete conversation threads.

Notes: 

  • Only the creator or owner of a team can delete conversations started by other people. You can check if you're the team owner or add another person as an owner by visiting Make someone a team owner.

  • If you're a general user on the team, you will only be able to delete the conversations you started. Conversations you have replied to you wont be able to delete, only your replies in the conversation.

  1. Navigate to the channel with the thread you’d like to delete, then select the Conversation tab.

  2. Select More options More options button next to each message in the thread and select Delete.

  3. Expand the entire conversation to see each individual message.

  4. If you delete every message in a conversation, the whole conversation thread will vanish.

Note: Files that you added within a deleted conversation thread are still accessible in the Files tab.
