Develop your talent with more than 10,000 online courses from LinkedIn Learning

In this video we'll discuss what we mean by cloud availability and its importance. One of the major reasons some business avoid the cloud is because of cloud availability concerns. Despite all of the computing power available to the cloud service provider, the cloud is not 100% perfect and no provider offers 100% uptime. In the last few years, you may have seen in the news that Amazon, Google, and Microsoft have all experienced outages lasting multiple days. You need to consider potential outages and the possible impact on your business and thoroughly review the service level agreement with your cloud provider before deciding to move to the cloud.

In the next movie we will consider how to deal with a service upgrade and feature improvements in the different improvement models available in the cloud.
