Bing for business users & permissions

The Users & permissions page, which you can find in the left navigation pane, allows you to give permissions to users to manage Bing for business, as well as allow end users to preview Bing for business.

Assign permissions

  1. Navigate to the Bing for business Admin portal.

  2. Click Users & permissions in the left navigation.

  3. Click Add admin or editor at the top of the page

  4. In the Additional admins box, search for one or more people or groups you want to add and give admin permission to, and select them from the results.

  5. In the Editors box, search for the person or security group you want to assign editor permissions to, and select them from the results.

  6. Click Save.

Add users

By default, everyone in your organization has access to business results, but to limit participation (such as during an evaluation period) you can enable Bing for business for one or more users.

  1. Click Manage preview access at the top of the page.

  2. Clear the option Add everyone in your organization.

  3. Search for one or more users in the Only allow these users box.

  4. Click Save.

Two hours after they are given preview access, users can sign in with their work account by clicking the Sign in button in top right corner of the home page and start using Bing for business. 

Note that it takes 24 hours for people/AAD content to be available for search after Bing for business is enabled in O365 admin center.
