What happened to the wizards?

After the Microsoft Office 2003 release, the wizards, such as memo wizard and resume wizard in Microsoft Word 2007 and 2010 and chart wizard in Microsoft Excel 2007 and 2010 were replaced with templates that are available on the Microsoft Office.com website.

In Word 2010

  1. Click the File tab.

  2. Click New.

  3. Under Available Templates, click the template you want to use.

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button Office button image .

  2. Click New.

  3. Under Templates, click the template you want to use.

Note:  During the Office 2007 release, the Office.com website was named Microsoft Office Online.

  3. Under Available Templates, click the template you want to use.
