View the documents to approve

The feature described in this Help topic is available only if any of the following versions of both Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 are installed: Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, or Korean.

Before the approval process ends as approved you can check the status of all documents under the approval process from Personal Folder.

The My Approval home page provides the following information:

Field

Description

Type

An icon indicating the file type.

Name

File title

Submitter

The person who created and requested submitting the file for approval.

Current Approver

The person who has approval authority in the current step. If the current approver is set as a cosigner along with other people, those cosigners are also displayed. If the approval request has been made to the approval role where the current approver belongs, the name of that approval role is displayed. You can also claim the approval authority of the document assigned to the approval role. For more information, see Claim Approval Authority of Document Assigned to your approval role.


The For Approval page provides the following additional information:

  • Normal     Approvers in the sequential decision step.

  • Cooperative     Cosigners in cooperative relationship in the parallel decision step.

  • CoApproval     Cosigners in co-approval relationship in the parallel decision step.

Submit Date

The date when the document was submitted for approval

Approved By

The people who have approved the document so far

Attachments

If there is an attached file, View link is displayed on the Attachment column. Click the link to move to the page where you can view contents of the attached file. Ask your administrator when an error message appears while moving to the page. Administrator may adjust the attached file allocation specification.

You can receive a notification e-mail message when a document to approve is assigned to you or the approval process for the document you signed is completed if the Group Approval is incorporated with your e-mail system. When a document to approve is assigned, you receive a notification e-mail message containing the link to the document. Click the link, and the document opens in the appropriate program for your immediate approval.
