Import contacts

If you've already exported your contacts from Gmail or converted your iCloud contacts into a .csv file, you can import them into Outlook.

  1. Select File.

  2. Select Open & Export > Import/Export.

  3. Select Import from another program or file > Next.

  4. Select Comma Separated Values > Next.

  5. Select Browse, go to your saved .csv file, and select it.

  6. Select how you want Outlook to handle duplicate contacts:

    • Replace duplicates with items imported

    • Allow duplicates to be created

    • Do not import duplicate items

  7. Select Next.

  8. In the Import a File box, select Contacts > Next.

  9. Select Finish.

  10. To view your imported contacts, select People.

Import contacts to Outlook

Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file

If you’ve already exported your contacts from Gmail or converted your iCloud contacts into a .csv file, you can import them into Outlook.

In Outlook, choose File.

Choose Open & Export and then choose Import/Export.

Next, choose Import from another program or file and click Next.

Choose Comma Separated Values, and then click Next.

Now Browse to where you saved your .csv file, and select it.

Choose how you want Outlook to handle your duplicate contacts—for now, for now, we’ll select Replace duplicates with items imported.

Click Next.

In the Import a file box, choose Contacts, and then click Next.

Click Finish.

Outlook will now start bringing over your contacts.

You’re finished! To see your new contacts in Outlook, choose People.
