Use TalkBack to share a presentation in Skype for Business for Android

You can use TalkBack—the screen reader built in to Android—to share a PowerPoint presentation during a Skype for Business for Android meeting.

Share a presentation during a meeting

  1. Open Skype for Business for Android and sign in if necessary.

    Tip: If you did not sign out of Skype for Business for Android the last time you used it, the app opens without prompting you to sign in. For sign-in help, refer to Get started using TalkBack with Skype for Business for Android.

  2. Join the meeting.

    Tip: For more information, refer to Use TalkBack to join an online meeting in Skype for Business for Android.

  3. Be sure you are the meeting presenter. If you organized the meeting, you start out as the presenter.

  4. To share your PowerPoint presentation, on the meeting screen, move the focus to the More options button and double-tap. The listed options are available only when you’re participating in a meeting using your Android device. Present PowerPoint is the first option. Other options related to meeting management include Add participants, Turn off content, and Switch Audio Source.

  5. On the next screen, move the focus to Present PowerPoint. You hear “Present PowerPoint, Enlist.” Double-tap.

    Note: While you can share a PowerPoint presentation in a Skype for Business for Android meeting, you cannot share your screen or the contents of other applications.

  6. On the next screen, move the focus to the location of your presentation, for example, your Android device or OneDrive. To open the selected location, double-tap.

  7. Browse to find and move the focus to the PowerPoint file. To open it, double-tap. You hear “Start presenting.”

  8. In the Start Presenting message, move the focus to the OK button and double-tap. Your presentation opens and all meeting participants can see your presentation.

Note: You can share a PowerPoint presentation in a Skype for Business for Android meeting, but not in an audio call, video call, or chat session.
