Updates for Live Meeting 2007 Service Release 8.1.3

This document lists updates that are included in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 service Release 8.1.3.

Issue: When trying to join the meeting audio using the Join Conference option, it takes a long time to launch the Join Conference dialog box. This results in a delay connecting to the meeting audio.

Resolution: With Live Meeting 2007 service Release 8.1.3, there are no delays when connecting to the meeting audio using the Join Conference option.

Issue: Live Meeting stores a history of meeting and member settings in the backend database. Performance of database queries begin slow as the amount of data in history tables grows.

Resolution: With Live Meeting 2007 service Release 8.1.3, an ongoing backend task clears the redundant data history. This improves the performance of reports and XML API calls that list meetings and member data. It also prevents any time-out errors that may occur due to the size of the redundant data history.

Issue: The Easy Assist Launchpad will not connect to Live Meeting through a proxy server if the proxy auto-configuration file (.pac file) is used for Microsoft Internet Explorer connectivity.

Resolution: With Live Meeting 2007 service Release 8.1.3, when .NET the proxy detection mechanism fails, Launchpad will use Microsoft Windows HTTP Services (WinHTTP) to detect the proxy settings.

Note:

Users running Windows XP will also need to have the Windows hotfix installed. For information about the hotfix, please refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article 919477.
