Turn in assignments in Microsoft Classroom

To see all your assignments, sign in to Microsoft Classroom on the web, or open the mobile app for iOS or Android. In To do, you’ll see all active assignments due today and for the future; in Past, you’ll see any assignments due yesterday or earlier.

Turn in an assignment

If there’s nothing to turn in for the assignment (like a file, photo, or website), then all you do is mark it done.

  1. Sign in to Microsoft Classroom on the web, or open the mobile app for iOS or Android.

  2. Select the assignment to turn in, then choose Mark Done.

Use a file your teacher added to the assignment

  1. Sign in to Microsoft Classroom, and select the assignment.

  2. Select the file your teacher attached under Resources. The file will open for you to use.

Attach your own files, photos, video links, or websites to the assignment

On the website: files, websites, and video links
  1. Sign in to Microsoft Classroom.

  2. Select the assignment, then select My work.

To attach a website, video link, or file you’ve already worked on, select + Add existing, then follow the instructions.

To create a new file, select + Create New, then choose Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. The new file will open in your web browser, and automatically save to your folder in the school’s SharePoint.

In the mobile app: files and photos
  1. Open the Microsoft Classroom app for Android or iOS.

  2. Select the assignment, then select the plus sign (+).

To attach a file you’ve already worked on, select Choose File. Browse to where the file is stored, and then select the file to attach it.

To take a picture and attach it to your assignment, select Take Photo.

To create a new file, select Create New Document, then choose Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. The file will open on your device, and automatically save to your folder in the school’s SharePoint.
