Stay in the loop with important or interesting stories with the news feature in the SharePoint mobile app for iOS, starting with version 2.0. News stories are designed to display well on any device.
Reading Team News
The News tab shows the most recent articles from your sites you’re following and frequently visit along with sites suggested by the Office Graph. Tap to read a news post or tap the site name to view the site. To learn more about the connection between the mobile app and the Office Graph, see Using the SharePoint mobile app with the Office Graph turned off.
When you tap on a site in the Sites tab, you’ll see the 4 most recent news posts from individual sites above the recent site activity. Tap See all to view all the news posts published in this site.
News posts are designed to display well on mobile devices. When you tap a news headline from the Sites tab or the News tab, you’ll see the full article complete with web parts, including images and embedded documents.
Add a News Post
By default, News is at the top of your team site. It includes a space where you can begin adding your stories, and a link to this help article.
In the News box, click + Add to start creating your post.
Begin with adding a headline, and then click a button to add text, graphics and documents on your page.
When you have multiple items in a post, you can rearrange them before publishing. Tap, hold and drag an item to move it up or down on the page.
When you are done creating your page, click Publish at the top right, and you'll see the story appear in the News section as the most recent story.
Managing Team News is currently available in SharePoint Online on the web only. The SharePoint mobile app allows adding a News post in SharePoint Online. For more information about editing or removing a News post on the web, see Keep your team updated with News on your team site
