Switch from designing a form template to filling out a form

Microsoft Office InfoPath has two separate modes that are designed for two distinct tasks — designing form templates and filling out forms that are based on those form templates. When you are in design mode, the mode where you can design a form template, a (Design) prefix appears in the InfoPath title bar. This prefix disappears when you open a form that you want to fill out. To switch from designing a form template to filling out a form, do the following:

  1. On the File menu, click Fill Out a Form.

  2. In the Getting Started dialog box, under Open a form, click On My Computer.

  3. In the Open dialog box, browse to the form that you want to fill out, and then click Open.
