Setting user preferences in Management Reporter

You can set your default user preferences. For example, you can specify which screen displays at startup, the report library location, the file location, and the default SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) server. After you modify these preferences, Microsoft Office PerformancePoint 2007 Management Reporter saves them on your computer.

Management Reporter user options

The following table describes the Management Reporter user options.

On startup:

Show Welcome Page

Displays the Welcome page on startup. The Welcome page provides quick access to standard Management Reporter functions.

Load last loaded report

Displays the user's last-viewed report.

Show open window

Displays the Open window. The Open window provides a search window for quickly finding building blocks.

Show empty environment

Displays an empty Management Reporter screen.

Display confirmation before exiting Management Reporter

Displays a warning message when you exit.

Automatically apply cell underline to column headers

Underlines a new column and creates a header.

Report library location

Specifies the default report library location. You might want to change the default report library location if all the reports that you work on are located in a subfolder of the report library.

Management Reporter files location

Specifies the default files location. Management Reporter uses the default location when you export building block groups, and Excel, or RDL files. In addition, Management Reporter uses this location if you do not specify a location when linking to a worksheet.

Default SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Server

This is the path to your default SSRS server. If your system is set up with an SSRS server, you can configure the default path here. Contact your SSRS server administrator to get this path.

Set user preferences

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.

  2. In the Options dialog box, set any of the options, and then click OK.
