Request and approve shift offers in Microsoft StaffHub

If you can't work a scheduled shift, you can use Microsoft StaffHub to offer the shift to another team member. All you need is someone to accept your offer and manager approval. All approved schedule changes are automatically updated in the schedule.

Send an offer request (employee)

Follow these steps to offer a shift:

  1. Open the StaffHub mobile app.

  2. Select the Requests tab.

  3. Tap + > Swap or offer shift.

  4. Tap Offer My Shift.

    Offer my shift button

  5. Select the shift you want to offer.

Select the shift you want to offer

  6. Select the team member you want to offer the shift to.

Select the team member you'll offer the shift to

  7. Add an optional reason, and tap Send Request. Your coworker will receive the request first.

If your co-worker approves the shift offer, the request will be sent to the manager for approval. If the manager approves the shift swap, the schedule will be updated automatically.

If your co-worker declines the offer, the request will not be sent to the manager.

Review a swap request (manager)

Do the following if you're a manager receiving a shift offer request:

  1. Open the StaffHub mobile app.

  2. Select the Requests tab, and then tap the request that needs action.

  3. Tap Approve or Deny and add an optional message. Once you approve the request, the schedule will be updated automatically.
