Only part of a picture appears

Cause: The line spacing is set to a fixed amount that is smaller than the height of the picture.

Solution:    Increase the line spacing.

  1. On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Indents and Spacing tab.

  2. On the Line Spacing pop-up menu, click any item other than Exactly.

    Note: If you want to specify an exact number for line spacing, in the At box, enter a number that is greater than the height of your picture.

Solution:    Reduce the size of the picture.

  1. Click the picture to select it.

  2. Rest the pointer on a corner of the picture until  Text Box Resize Cursor 2 appears, and then drag the corner until the picture is small enough to fit between the lines of text.

Cause: The picture extends off the page.

Solution:    Reposition the picture.

  • Select the picture, and then drag the picture onto the page.

Solution:    Reduce the size of the picture.

  1. Click the picture to select it.

  2. Rest the pointer on a corner of the picture until  Text Box Resize Cursor 2 appears, and then drag the corner until the picture is small enough to fit on the page.

Cause: The picture is cropped.

Solution:    Reset the picture.

  1. Select the picture.

  2. On the Format Picture tab, under Adjust, click Reset.
