OneDrive system requirements

The OneDrive desktop sync app requires the following:

  • Operating system: 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7, or Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 and the Platform Update for Windows Vista; Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 2 and the Platform Update for Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2016; or Mac OS X 10.9 or later.

    Note: OneDrive will be phasing out support for the following operating system versions in November: Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Mac OS X 10.9. For more information, see OneDrive End Of Support Notice.

  • Processor: 1.6 GHz or higher, or Intel-based Mac computer

  • Memory: 1 GB of RAM or higher

  • Resolution: 1024 × 576 minimum

  • Internet connection: High-speed Internet access is recommended.

  • File systems: NTFS or HFS+ (case insensitive)
