My shared calendar in Outlook.com isn't synching and permissions seem to have changed

Note: Sign in to Outlook on the web using any Microsoft account, including email accounts ending in @outlook.com, @live.com, @hotmail.com or @msn.com — and Office 365 work or student accounts.

If you’ve received an email indicating that your account will be upgraded, or if you’ve opted to upgrade your account, the following information applies to you:

During the account upgrade, the current sharing method will be unavailable. If you’ve shared a calendar prior to the planned upgrade, it will temporarily be converted to an ICS subscription and you won’t be able to change sharing relationships or update shared calendar permissions. As we continue upgrading user accounts, please use Publish calendar (instructions below) to create an ICS subscription link.

Use Publish calendar during the upgrade

  1. On the Outlook Calendar navigation bar, click Settings Click Settings > Options.

  2. Under Options in the left pane, under Calendar, click Publish calendar.

    Publish calendar

  3. Under Publish calendar, select a calendar and create a link to show availability only or to show availability, titles, and locations.

  4. Send the ICS subscription link to the person you want to share your calendar with.
