With Outlook.com Premium, you can share your custom email domain among five people. Invite others to share your subscription right from the Outlook.com Premium dashboard.
Note: The Outlook.com Premium standalone offering was closed to new subscribers in October 2017. Many of the benefits in the standalone subscription are now included with subscriptions to Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal. To learn more, see Outlook.com Premium closed to new subscribers.
You can invite up to four other people to join your domain and choose their own personalized email addresses using the domain:
Sign in to your Outlook.com Premium dashboard.
Select Invite others.
Enter the person's name and email address and select Send invite.
The person will receive your invitation to set up a personalized email address using your email domain name.
The people you've invited are listed on the Outlook.com Premium dashboard under Invites used. Select the arrow to view the status of an invitation or delete an invitee from this list. The status of an invitation will show as “Pending” until it has been accepted. If you delete an invitation, you can always invite the person again.
As people accept your invitation, sharing relationships are automatically set up with the other people on your domain, including yourself. They’ll have access to your domain’s shared OneDrive documents and individual calendars, and will be able to see when the others are free or busy.
If the person you've invited has a Microsoft account (such as an email address ending in @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com, or @outlook.com), he or she can easily create a personal email address with your custom email domain name. If the person you've invited does not have a Microsoft account, they’ll be prompted to create one to join your custom Outlook.com Premium domain.
Can I invite someone who doesn’t have a Microsoft account to join my Outlook.com Premium subscription?
Yes, but they will be prompted to set up a Microsoft account to join your Outlook.com Premium subscription.
The people you've invited to join your subscription are listed on the Outlook.com Premium dashboard under Invites used. To cancel an invitation, select Delete next to the email address you would like to remove and select Yes.
If you delete a “pending” invitation, the invitation will no longer be valid.
If you delete an “accepted” invitation, the personalized email address will no longer work and the sharing relationships with that email address will be automatically deleted. However, the invitee will still have access to any existing email via their Microsoft account. Your total count will be automatically updated under Invites used to reflect the cancellation.
Your Outlook.com Premium subscription currently supports a total of five (5) email accounts, including your own. If you need more than five email accounts, you should consider using Office 365 Business Essentials.
Can I share my Office 365 Home subscription with others using the personalized email addresses they created in Outlook.com Premium?
You can share your Office 365 Home subscription with others using the personalized email addresses they created in Outlook.com Premium, but the people you invite to join your Office 365 Home subscription will need to set up their personalized email addresses first.
If you've already shared your Office 365 Home subscription with others but want to use their personalized email addresses, you'll need to stop sharing your subscription with them and then invite them to join using their personalized email addresses.
