Format text in headers or footers

You can change the font, style or size of headers or footers you want to print with your data. You can also make sure the header and footer font size settings don't change when you scale the worksheet for printing.

  1. Open the worksheet that has the header or footer text you want to format.

If you don't have a header or footer, you can add it by clicking Insert > Header & Footer.

  2. On the status bar, click the Page Layout View button.

  2. Click Design and uncheck the Scale with Document box.

Tip: If you leave the Scale with Document box checked, the header and footer font will scale with the worksheet, making the header and footer text smaller when you print with the Fit Sheet on One Page scaling option selected.
