Some customers have had issues when copying data from Excel for Mac into Word and PowerPoint using the Paste Special method to paste as a PDF. Specifically, text can be cut off, or lose formatting. This is especially noticeable if text font size is larger than 12, and text is right-aligned. The Excel engineering team is aware of the issue, and has filed a bug for it in their backlog.
Following are some possible workarounds for this issue:
Paste Special > PNG format instead of PDF.
Select an additional column beyond the content you want to copy, then copy/paste.
For Word, using the default paste (Command+V) option will turn the selection into a Word table. The table may need to be resized, but all of the pasted content will be available in a readable fashion.
