When trying to install Microsoft 365, you might get one of these errors. We’ve listed the most commons solutions first, so try them in order.

Option 1 - Restart your device and try installing Office again

In your browser, bookmark this article so you can easily return to it since you'll have to restart the computer you're trying to install Microsoft 365 on.

  1. Save your work and close any programs you have open, and then restart your computer.

  2. Once your computer restarts, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, and sign in with the account associated with Microsoft 365, and then select Install.

To reinstall Office select the version you want to install and follow those steps.

Option 2 - Use the offline installer to install Office

The Microsoft 365 offline installer may help bypass potential proxy, firewall, antivirus, or Internet connection issues that might occur during an Microsoft 365 installation.
